Nike launch Shox VCII shoe

25 March 2003
London, England

The Nike Shox VCII is the third generation of Nike Shox basketball technology. A unique basketball system inspired by one of the games most dynamic and explosive players, Vince Carter, guard of the Toronto Raptors.

Built on the foundation of the breakthrough BB4 technology introduced in Spring 2000 the Nike Shox VC II provides superior impact absorption, responsiveness and an incredibly smooth transition from heel to forefoot.

The Nike Shox columns span the entire length of the foot and act as springs and shock absorbers to disperse and dampen impact loading.

The outsole, forefoot, midsole, plates and transition wedge are engineered to work in tandem with the Shox columns to enable unique responsiveness. The result is improved comfort and fit throughout the shoe and better shock attenuation during court play.

The new shoes will retail at £130 and are available from NIKETOWN and selected sports shops.
